Dawn Chorus Walk 9th May 6am
Hanleys Environment Group invites you to join us for a stroll to enjoy the Dawn Chorus, at Hanley Castle.
Hanley Castle Parish is a rural community of approximately 1500 people, spread across two villages, Hanley Castle and Hanley Swan. The parish stretches from the River Severn to within two miles of the Malvern Hills. Hanley Castle, named after a 13th-century castle long since demolished, is centred around St Mary's church and a 17th-century pub. Hanley Swan is known for its traditional village green with a duck pond, gastro pub and post office.

Hanleys Environment Group invites you to join us for a stroll to enjoy the Dawn Chorus, at Hanley Castle.
To encourage wildlife in the parking area at Hanley Swan Village Hall, with help from Carol Nicholls from Grange Farm Nursery, Hanleys Environment Group has planted shrubs, chosen to attract and benefit insects.
Applications are now being sought for a person who wishes to stand for co-option onto the Hanley Castle Parish Council. Hanley Castle Parish Council meet 10 times a year and represent the villages of Hanley Swan and Hanley Castle.
This service will be rolled out gradually across the Malvern Hills district with the first trial round starting in October 2026. If the trial is successful, we expect full coverage across the district by October 2027.
